Trovata Is Launching Knitwear Line called Birds of Paradis by Travota

California based contemporary brand Travota is launching a knitwear line to land in stores in August.  The line will be under a new label called Birds of Paradis by Trovata, will include knitted dresses, cardigans, crewnecks, v-necks, cardigans and wraps.

“I always wanted to focus on one product category,” said Whitledge, in an interview in New York with Women’s Wear Daily.  “Knitwear is a category that I strongly relate to — it gives a sense of security, a sense of time, place and memory. Knitwear, to me, represents family and is one of the few items of clothing that can be handed down from generation to generation,” said Whitledge.

Each season, Whitledge will travel to different destinations for inspiration.  The first collection is inspired by Brazil, particularly the colors, music, colors, landscape and the people.
